Lunch Pal – lunch-consultant-foody friend at your fingertips.
It was developed as part of the Coursera’s Human Computer Interaction Design Course by University of California, San Diego.
Project Challenge
Web Service/App, that helps you choose what to have for lunch!
The Process
This project started with Needfinding research – finding ideas that help create meaningful designs and have a real impact on real people’s lives.
My observation was the “Lunch break experience” activity – What, Why and How you decide what to eat for lunch at work! Having so many choices and options for lunch, in most of the cases, puts a pressure on us, just before our lunch break, on what and where to eat! Our decision is based on specific factors and I wanted to explore those factors and be able to create web based service/app that will help in the process of making this decision! As part of this research, several interviews were conducted, and after the observations and brainstorming, My Point Of View was: “It’s way easier to decide what to eat, when you have a lunch-consultant-foody friend at your fingertips“.
Based on these findings, storyboards, rapid prototypes and mockups were developed.
These prototypes and mockups were evaluated and final prototype was created in InVision. Check the final InVision Prototype for this project.
